WATERTOWN, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 14, 2005--Bright Horizons Family Solutions (NASDAQ: BFAM), the world's leading provider of employer-sponsored child care, has been named #27 among 2005's "100 Best Corporate Citizens" by Business Ethics magazine. Bright Horizons also tied for the top ranking among all companies on the list for its commitment to corporate governance.
Business Ethics annually ranks public companies based on the commitment they demonstrate to shareholders, community, diversity, employees, environment, human rights and the product or service they provide. The magazine has also added a new category this year to recognize companies for their efforts to guard against scandal, measuring them on the strength of their corporate governance practices. Only those companies that meet the highest standards for all stakeholder groups make the top 100 list. In addition to its top ranking for corporate governance, Bright Horizons measured especially high for its impact on communities as well as its commitment to diversity.
